For me, weekend hair should be fuss free. Let's be real, the last thing I want to do once Saturday rolls around is pick up the curling wand or worse, the blow dryer for an hours worth of styling. I know you're with me, weekend time is precious. So over the summer I've found that I have been distancing myself more and more from the excessive styling and opting for quick tricks to keep my hair from looking like a complete disaster after the weekend hits. It doesn't hurt that I've had a little help from Tara Smith hair products along the way.
First off, if you're new to Tara Smith haircare, it's time you get in the know about the vegan, ethical, cruelty and gluten-free line catered to all hair types and conditions. Including, but not limited to, my colorful, unruly mane. Everything is sans parabens, SLES, phthalates, synthetic fragrances and colors. The line includes styling products for every hair style, as well as shampoos and conditioners for every hair type. I've found myself partial to embracing my curls with the Working Curls Shampoo and Conditioner. It makes creating a few extra waves effortless with the extra bounce from the soy protein and rosemary extract. Plus, it's the perfect starter for fuss free weekend hair styles.
Which is why I'm sharing 4 fuss free hairstyles to try this weekend (or next, or every), with the help of a few new friends from Tara Smith's collection...

The Day Of:
Grab a Brush
and a few Bobby Pins
Finish with Tara Smith Shining Moment Glosser, $18
{a shine-enhancing finishing spray that diffuses light and fights free radicals to show off your hair’s dimension and color}
The Styles:
1. Loosely pinned lived in waves
This one is by far the easiest, and only requires a couple of bobby pins and a spritz of Tara Smith Shining Moment Glosser.
After a light brush through, gently pull two pieces from your crown and loosely pin behind your ears. If you have bangs allow some pieces to fall, you don't want it to appear too tight. Spritz with gloss and voila! lived in waves with a touch of a Bardot vibe.
2. The Simple Twist and Pin
Two pieces twisted from the crown and pulled to the back and pinned. But, this time instead of just pinning it we're adding a little extra flair with the bobby pins.
The key is add the bottom bobby pin first and then add the sides to create the triangle. Spritz with gloss and voila!
3. Loose Side Braid
After brushing through your hair add a tiny, part your hair off center. Pull back and pin the hair from the right side to the left where the braid will be going. Smooth with a brush.
Next, start with three pieces pulled close from the crown and begin to braid down.
Adding hair pulled from the back and side. Wrap the longest piece around the braid and pin into place.
Loosely pull the braid pieces to create a more undone braid. Finish with Shining Moment Glosser.
4. The Mini Topknot
After a light brushing through, pull the hair from the top crown into a pony tail.
Twist into a loose bun and pin into place. Don't worry about creating the perfect bun, the more undone the better. It's the weekend after all....
