It's spring time at Payless again, meaning bogo sales and the newest additions to their designer collections. And though I didn't jump for joy this time around when I saw this season's line up (I miss Alice and Olivia!), the pieces aren't too shabby and kind of fun at that. Christian Siriano brought wedges and caged heels to the table where as Isabella Toledo thought outside the box with her eccentric and funky creations. My only issue, spending $50 on a pair of Payless shoes, I mean I can run to Target and grab 2 pairs of Dolce Vita for Target wedges for (just about) the price of Siriano's Caged Heel. What do you guys think?
Caged Strappy Shootie, Christian Siriano For Payless $54.99
Zanzi Exotic Wedge, Christian Siriano for Payless $49.99
Olivos Satin T-Strap Pump, Lela Rose for Payless $44.99
Striped Vamp Sandal, Isabella Toledo for Payless $44.99
Mesh Lace Shootie, Isabella Toledo for Payless $54.99
I saw the Striped Vamp Sandal in person a week or two ago and really liked it. But I definitely agree that the prices are *not* cutting it. There have been several pairs that I would have purchased, but the store priced themselves out. I understand they're trying to pump up their image, but Payless is still in their name.
I remember when I was in High School how inexpensive and boring Payless shoes are, they really have come a long way since then. While they are definitely more stylish than back then I have a hard time paying what they want for their shoes.
I picked up the Caged Strappy Shooties yesterday :)!
