During the week I had a chance to stop in and check out the Spring selections at Kohl's, and was pleasantly surprised with what I saw, especially in LC Lauren Conrad (for Kohl's) corner.
It seems that LC's theme for this collection was lots of color and florals, which is always right up my alley. By Adding crinkled 'leather' jackets and knit cardigans with lovely coral frocks and gorgeous flowing maxi dresses, she was spot on for this season's trends and got my complete approval.
My only displeasure was catching a glimpse at the price tags and feeling disappointed with the extreme prices (even with the 30% off), $64 for a polyester maxi dress is outrageous, especially for Kohl's, so sadly I left with only a candle.
Here's what I found on my shopping experience -
What do you think, will you be shopping this collection?
I have that pink tiered maxi dress, and it is a dream! I picked it up online on sale for 42 dollars. I have to say though, it does run big. I am a size 4 and had to get an XS... Which would probably be the only XS item in my wardrobe!
I probably wont be buying anything unless it goes on clearance. Prices seem a little high for my liking.
The collection is super cute and spot on for the season's trends; however, the items are not made from quality fabrics, and I've always thought of Kohls as a lower end retailer. Now it seems they've increased their prices while keeping the products of the same quality. Now with low-end retailers like Kmart and WalMart upping the ante by paying attention to the trends and giving us what we are looking for, at the lower price point we expect, I can proudly say that I will continue shopping at Target and am now adding in pieces from Kmart and Walmart. If I'm going to pay $70 for a maxi dress, I'll go to the mall.

I love Lauren Conrad for Kohls! I recently got one of her new dresses for only $15. It was one of those Power Hour specials so it was 40% off the original price, and then I happened to have a 30% off coupon, plus I combined it with a $10 of $20 from the newspaper. Don't forget those coupons! :-)
