Ah, Summer, the season of fireworks, barbecues and of course, refreshing homemade lemonade. One day while out and about I witnessed something quite amazing, fresh fruit lemonade. Groundbreaking, I know, but seriously it's a force not to be reckoned with. So at home I decided to give this a whirl, feel free to switch out fruits.
Fresh Raspberry Lemonade
6 Lemons
3/4 Cup White Sugar
6 Cups Cold Water
1 Cup Fresh Raspberries (or Frozen)
1. Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To make your labor easier, firmly roll lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing.
2. In a gallon pitcher combine lemon juice, sugar and cold water. Stir, adjusting water to taste.
3. Pour Lemonade in blender with 1 cup raspberries, and blend for about 10 seconds.
4. Pour into pitcher, stir and chill for 20 minutes. Enjoy. Serves 8.
Note: Add 3oz Vodka for an "Adult Summer Treat" or try using this for "Pops"
This looks ultra refreshing! Lemonade always gives me the boost I need especially on a hot day...adding raspberries to it? Genius!
