The best thing about fall is by far the sound of leaves getting crushed under a new pair of boots. More so just the boots, because who doesn’t love them? They can be worn in so many different ways. With so much variety one can be puzzled just how to pair up your boots for a perfectly chic fall look. Which ones would be best for a walk to work or a night out on the town? The options are endless.
Tall boots aren’t just to keep warm and dry, they make your legs look ultra-long and give a sleek sexy look. Over the knee boots can be paired with tights and a big comfy sweater for a laid back look, or with a crochet dress for a bohemian breezy feel. Or just throw them over your favorite pair of jeans and head out to run some errands. You really can’t go wrong with this staple boot.
Another great pair to look out for is the lace up boots. They are rugged and bad girl with a little bit of sexy, and they are great when paired with a cute little dress or stockings with some shorts with a thicker material to stay warm, like tweed or suede. Lace up boots come in all different lengths to match what is more your style. You can go super high, like the Jeffery Campbell’s Joe Lace Ups, or a little lower if you’re feeling like showing more leg and less boot.
The smaller one in the boot family is the booties, but don’t let their size fool you- they can pack a real punch. Like ankle strap heels, the bootie gives a lot of ankle support, making it easier to wear your heels sky high. Get a great pair of wedge or platform booties and wear it with an above the knee dress or some shorts and your legs will look a mile long. They can take any outfit from casual to funky. Wear some lace up booties with a maxi skirt and give your sweetheart look a little bit of edge.
Boots can be sweet and sassy at the same time, and that’s what makes fall fashion fun, playing styles off of each other and creating bold new looks.

You're right, boots are a central piece in a fall/winter wardrobe, thanks for sharing!
I also like the last photo which pairs boots with a long skirt. It's very bohemian and stylish!
