Ok, I've done it again. I just can help playing around with those crescent rolls (from Immaculate Baking Co.) there's just so many ideas and so little time. So this time I decided to go with another strudel, but this time playing with flavors like cinnamon with the sweet cheese - which by the way, mmm and perfect for brunch!
Cinnamon Sugar Cheese Strudel (Serves 3-4)
1 Pkg. Crescent Rolls
1 8 Oz. Pkg Cream Cheese (Softened)
1/4 C Sugar
1 - 2 Tsp. Cinnamon (more for sprinkling over filling and crust)
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 Tbsp. Flour
2 Tbsp. Coconut Oil or Melted Butter
Preheat Oven to 350˚
Remove rolls from package, and place together on pan making a rectangle, and slice the long side diagonally to 'braid'. Set Aside
In a bowl combine cheese, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and flour until soft and smooth.
Carefully 'fill' the (middle of the) crust.
Sprinkle with a hefty amount of cinnamon/sugar blend..
Begin to braid in the strudel, and brush the crust with coconut oil...
Sprinkle the strudel with cinnamon and sugar.
And bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Let Cool and Enjoy!
Oh my goodness...some drool just escaped...this looks soooo yummy!
