I had the pleasure of covering backstage beauty a handful of times for New York Fashion Week and one of my favorite's was seeing what Deborah Lippmann put together for the nails for some of the shows. One of the most memorable was the look she put together for Badgley Mischka's Spring 2013 show, taking from the shows Midsummer's Night Dream inspiration, Deborah brought a muted, yet lovely mauve (Modern Love, $16) to accent the romantic theme. Noting that mauve is the new nude, Deborah's clean, classic round nails were the perfect touch to the gorgeous looks on the runway.
And for the record ladies, Deborah is even more inspiring in person and I was enamored to meet her (and see her more than just once). I look forward to seeing what else Deborah Lippmann has to show us in the coming months, I hear she's going full on with lip color - and we're not talking glosses. Who's excited?

Pretty! I love Deborah Lippmann polishes! An OPI color that I think I got in the Lucky FABB gift bag has inspired me to when it comes to more neutral nail colors again.

What a beautiful color. Being a guy, I'm not familiar with names like "mauve" but you're given me reason to learn them.
I loved Badgley Mischka show! And loved seeing you in NYC!! Hope you had a great trip back home!
Beautiful, feminine, delicate, LOVE!
