Now don't get me wrong, I love finding a good deal and can be equally happy with something non named than with a designer tag but there's just something about the occasional designer piece that does something to me. Like this Dolce & Gabbana skirt, I got it 5 years ago for an embarrassing price, but the leopard print is like no other and I've never seen any one able to do leopard quite like them, there's just something about their leopard that's indistinguishable. And as someone who's been following design for almost the entirety of my life, it's something that really appeals to my senses.
What do you think about Quality?

I think that if you can afford it, and it's a classic piece, then it is worth it to invest in some nice clothing! I would consider that leopard print skirt a classic piece, and it's well worth it because now you'll have it for more years to come!
Oh my! I am speechless... GORGEOUS skirt!

Love leopard and chambray! It's nice to have some designer things in your wardrobe! I don't have the funds right now but eventually I would love to spend a little more of classic pieces.

I have always been jealous of this skirt and agree with you that it makes sense for every woman to have at least 1 designer piece...because it helps to appreciate the craftsmanship & attention to detail they put into their garments.

oh my! super awesome skirt! love how you paired it with denim
If you are still wearing and loving it 5 years later, it's certainly worth the investment! Great outfit :)
I think investing in a good, wearable designer piece is a great idea. I'm saving up to do the same!

Investing in key pieces is good, if your weight is stable. I have found, however, that price and label does not always equal quality. I have purchased designer shoes and had them be absolute crap for quality. That being said, I have an amazing designer trench that is of impeccable quality and I wear every year.
I don't own any high end designer pieces, because I haven't ever been able to justify the price tag. However, that skirt is absolutely fenomenal and looks amazing on you!
I love this whole outfit, and you look great as always!

There really is NO substitute for quality!!! I have some super expensive designer jeans that have held up for 10 years, and cheaper jeans have fallen apart in half that time. I think some things are worth the price if the quality and style match it. The first thing that caught my eye when I saw today's post was that skirt and I completely agree that this is one of the best leopard prints I've ever seen!!

Gorgeous skirt! Love those shoes! The color is beautiful! :)

You look amazing. Totally adorable and I love your skirt.
I agree with you about designer pieces. Sometimes it is just a treat that is well deserved and as long as you choose wisely it is definitely an investment piece that you can keep for years upon years.

I still go for the classic philosophy: if it's a one season thing, go high street, if it's something you need/want to wear forever, go designer!
I'm trying to save up for designer heels / bag / accessories because they'll last me a long time!

This is a beautiful skirt! I love the yellow shoes with it - well, I love the yellow shoes! A designer piece is worth every penny if you wear it for 5 years (not every day of course!). Not many other skirts would still look this great.
This skirt is stunning and absolutely worth every penny! I think that every girl should own one designer-crush worthy item in their wardrobe. Makes a girl feel special.

That skirt is absolutely fabulous!
I love leopard & denim together! This outfit looks amazing on you!
I think everyone should at least own one designer piece. The skirt you have is a wonderful investment.
I totally agree with you! Never found another designer or a brand that makes leopard print look so good. Dolce & Gabbana's leopard print is the best I've seen so far.
The photo with the top knot is such a great shot of you. #WERK!
I always think about "cost per wear" if its a staple item like an incredible blazer, and I can see myself wearing it for years then its worthy of a heftier price tag. If its from a discount store and looks like it may fall apart, then I get very picky because the cost per wear goes up.
My best bet has always been buy quality from Nordstrom and trends from F21... double score if you can thrift it!

Well, that skirt was worth every penny because it looks absolutely stunning on you. You are so right, D&G (and Roberto Cavalli) really do animal print like no other. You will definitely have the skirt for ever!

I know how you feel! I'm a cheap shopper on the norm, but I have a secret collection of Betsey Johnson dresses that are nowhere near cheap. Sometimes it's okay to splurge! This skirt is to die for, it fits you perfectly and I think you made the right choice buying it <3

I think that at a certain point, quality gets taken over by absurdity...like a $2,000 sweatshirt from some label that happens to be "in the moment". However, a staple item like that D&G leopard skirt is probably worth the price because of its wearability. Plus, you can mix it with lower-end pieces over and over.
