With the start of Fashion Week kicking off tomorrow it brings up the question what does one actually need at Fashion Week? And since last season was my first season returning as a visitor and not resident to the city it took a little getting used to with all the hustle and bustle. And while I learned thoroughly from my mistakes, I can say all of these must haves are in my carry on as we speak. Oh, psst. they're all uber budget savvy.
Facial Cleanser Wipes
Because sometimes you just don't have time (er, energy) to wash your face, these get the job done and give your skin a little love while doing so. Plus they're hypoallergenic and paraben free, blessing!
Band-Aids
Blisters are sometimes the inevitable enemy during the week, so the last thing you want to do is break in that fabulous new pair of shoes. And just in case you happen to come upon a blister, try these blister bandaids, hello lifesaver. And of course adding a little style doesn't hurt with these babies.
Red Lipstick
It's been a long day and there's absolutely no time to hit the hotel for a touch up, swipe some red lipstick on and you've got instant glam. Try Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe in Classic Red, Target.com
Lip Balm
Winter weather often causes a little chapping add over use of cosmetics and your lips need a little love, so of course a little lip balm goes a long way, this one is a favorite, or you can add some color with these - both $3!
Foldable Flats
When you're feet just don't want to do heels anymore, or you're in a hurry.
on the go charger-
Aspirin
for headaches and exfoliation, forget toting your favorite exfoliant, bring a few of these, crush them up, voila, brightening exfoliant.
Blotting Papers
Sometimes shine just happen, luckily you can blot it away with these, or even starbucks napkins if you're really on a budget.
Black Liner
The perfect eye opener, and this makes application a breeze!
Business Cards
You never know who you're going to meet and chances are they might not have time to write your (long) email down, hand'm a card and send them packing. Make sure it pops for a lasting impression. These are my favorite!
Sally Hansen Salon Effects
I put these on the day I left last season and didn't think about them again the entire trip, and you have so many choices for under $10!
The Back Ups...
Bobby & Safety Pins, Clear Nail Polish, & An Extra Accessory are always there when you're in a bind, I keep these in my purse whether I'm on set or running errands, you never know when you're going to need them. Aside from the fashion finds, don't forget to stay hydrated and charged (phone & energy).
