Last week I was lucky enough to be able to call The Gem Midtown West home. From the moment I stepped in I was greeted with warm smiles and sincere hospitality, something I don't find often in New York (but I've learned to live with). I quickly checked in and found myself in a spacious room, nothing like the one I resided in last fashion week. The space had two double beds, a Huge Window, a Flat Screen TV, Wardrobe, Desk and Comfy Seat. I was impressed from the get go because the Gem is uber budget friendly, and I was in no way expecting such a cozy and chic setting. The bathroom was stocked with Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities, gourmet coffee and teas, bottled water, monogrammed robes and plenty of plush towels. Of course I immediately unpacked and made myself at home, which was no problem at all.
After getting settled in I ducked out for awhile, and within 5 blocks was at the Penn Station subway, and later found out that there was a bus straight to lincoln center right around the corner, luckily I got to take advantage. Life at The Gem left me relaxed, and made my chaotic fashion week easier to take in, blizzard and all. It would seem that I've found my other New York City home. Even my shoes like their view.
A Special Thanks To The Gem For Hosting Me For A Week, I look forward to seeing you again!
