Booties and Jeans go hand in hand once the leaves start hitting the ground and the temperatures start dropping. Now, we're fully aware that there's only a few ways for booties to work on my petite frame and that's either with tights or a little help in the form of cuffing. Because let's be real, tucking your jeans into booties isn't the most flattering form of the pairing. So, I've rounded up my 4 favorite (and most flattering) ways to cuff your jeans or favorite skinnies with this season's must have footwear, ankle boots. It would seem the Sole Society "Tallie" booties were the perfect shoe for the job, don't you think?
Skip: Tucking your jeans in or over your booties // Over cuffing - too much skin will make your legs look shorter.
Try: Showing a sliver of skin with these 4 easy, leg elongating options.
One Roll:
Opt for a sliver of skin with a single 1-1 1/2" roll or a 2-3" larger cuff.
*avoid going hight than 3" to avoid a stumpy look.
Two Rolls:
Show a little more skin with a two roll cuff or a J.Crew esque boyfriend roll by pulling your cuff higher (like above right) and layering it over (below left) to expose the jean bottom.
*avoid rolling your cuffs too high
Happy Cuffing!
I love lessons like this. Smart tips on subjects that matter but are almost subliminal. Thanks!
