While I love working at the desk in my bright {but tiny} office at home, there are times where a little change of scenery doesn’t hurt. So, when smartwater asked me to visit their WeWork space in Gramercy, I couldn’t resist the chance to grab my laptop and ditch my desk for a few days. After a quick hop, skip and a jump on the train, I made it to the office and was quickly greeted by inspirational phrases on the wall, like “Success doesn’t happen in a single moment,” to get my creativity in place.
There was no shortage of room, trendy furniture and a fridge stocked full of smartwater for a little pick me up between emails and deliberating on what feature from the space to Instagram: The SMART CLOUDS {on the ceiling!}. The unique interactive speaker/lamps designed to mimic thunderstorms with sound and light, designed by artist, Richard Clarkson, tied the entire workspace and Up, Up, Up theme together perfectly.
Of course, no New York space is complete without an interactive photo booth to give you just the right distraction you need when you feel like you’ve hit a wall. I may or may not have given it a try, or three. Favorite feature? I’m leaning towards yes. It’s the little things that keep me inspired.
