For me, summer style has to be fresh, effortless, and able to follow me from lunch, drinks with friends or even a date. I want the ease of being able to switch accessories and create a whole new look without have to change completely. So, for this month's Burlington Style Squad™ challenge I searched the racks for the perfect summer to go piece to do just that.
Of course we already know that I have a special fondness for jumpsuits and rompers so it is no surprise that I was immediately drawn to this flirty romper when I spotted it on the racks last week. It's floaty, colorful and at first glance looks like a dress. Plus, they are one of this season's biggest trends and it was under $20, so there's that. Truth be told, I've been wearing it non stop but narrowed it down two these two pairings for my day to night picks.
Color isn't really a new thing here, so adding on a couple extra pops in the accessories department isn't entirely a big surprise with me, especially with this romper. However, in this case I really love the pink sandals and turquoise bag. Making it a perfect day look, hello lunch al fresco! Yes, I could probably get away with taking this look from day to night but I'm thinking a subtle change to black heels and bag with slight pop of color from the earrings is really where I want to take it when I'm heading to drinks or a date with my guy. Dressed up but still playful.
Final analysis. This romper turned out to be a major find at Burlington. Paired alongside a few other awesome finds which can be found in my haul video (below) I'd say it was a pretty successful month of shopping.
ADORE your romper. Love the bright colors. I love it paired with the bold heel as well.
