Wedges, every closet should have at least one pair of wedges in either black or tan {bonus for having both.} They are an definite essential when it comes to footwear options and are more often than not, one of the most comfortable picks. Which is why I'm finishing my Payless spring style posts with one of my favorite shoes of all times, the classic wedge. If you missed my other essentials the flatform and lace up {ghillie} heel, I suggest you check them out because they are great finds and I'm kind of obsessed.
Back to the wedge. I opted for the Noah wedge by Brash {$29.99} to round out the seasonal footwear essentials, it's not too high at 3.5" and is extremely comfortable with the padded footbed. I love the woven heel details paired with the caged heel. It's easy on and off with the back zipper and has a gummed rubber outsole {no slipping accidents here!}. Also, they come in black so if you're already stocked up on tan heels, grab the black.
As far as styling my new Payless wedge goes, I'll admit I had a really hard time resisting the urge to wear them with a maxi dress for this post, they couldn't be a more perfect fit for my beloved maxi. But since I wanted to really show them off and not have them just hiding under one of my lengthy favorites, I opted for something a bit shorter. A button up denim skirt and off the shoulder top. I personally can't get enough of black and tan pairings so I loved seeing the top and the wedges pop together with the addition of a little scarf detail and printed bag. Naturally the the denim skirt wears well with the look, just as it would with everything and anything.
Have you stocked up on your footwear essentials for Spring?
