One of the perks of living in NYC has to be all of the great stores at any easy distance. Sure, online shopping is great but being in a brick and mortar store is a full experience. Which is why I was more than a little excited when I learned FujiFilm was opening the Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop right in the middle of Flatiron. Hello, photographer's dream!
I headed in on opening day- on a colorful pedicab no less- and spent the better part of my morning playing with all the cameras and fun photo booth props, talking about the incredible space with the designers who made the store come to life (apartment goals, guys) and stocking on up all my 'photography needs'. New Yorkers and visitors alike have to make it a priority to pop into the store at least once. Don't let the small exterior fool you, it's quite literally a toy store for grown ups. Head in and pick up a new colorful Instax (and boatloads of film), drool over the amazing decor or even print out some of your favorite photos straight from your phone - It's THE place to let your creative flag fly. Grab washi tape and fun craft paper to customize gifts, a couple new frames and stock up on your greeting card needs. Maybe even pick up some inspo for displaying your pictures: amazing gallery walls anyone? I can't help but love the tiny Instax 'bunted banners' for showing off favorite Instax memories, perfect for parties, entryways and kid's rooms.
The Wonder Photo Shop honestly carries everything from photo booth props for your next party to pencils and clips to hang your works of art. I'm already planning my next trip to create custom gifts for upcoming birthdays and holidays. I'm loving the creative shadow box ideas and the amazing framed pieces. Plus, who doesn't want need a custom mug?
As if the store couldn't be more fun there's a photo booth in the middle of the store for your selfie needs. Grab some outrageously fun props and strike a pose in front of the black and white New York skyline with your significant other or bestie, no judgement for keeping the booth to yourself. I could easily spend the afternoon in the photo booth snapping photos of me making ridiculous faces. The things we do for fun, right?
