February kicks off with a bang and marks the start of Fall/Winter fashion week. I spent most of last week gearing up for this month's events, with a few pit stops along the way because who can really resist an amazing breakfast in the village or the opportunity to pick out a new pair of boots? Really? So, this is the happenings of this week.
- Breakfast at Dominique Bistro -
One of my favorite spots in the west village has never disappointed (see my dinner picks here). David and I tried out Dominique's breakfast on Monday and guys, it was amazing. If there's one thing you have to order whether dining in, or to go, it's the coffee and croissant with jam. As someone who has been craving croissants her entire pregnancy, I was in heaven. It was warm, flaky and the perfect starter for the morning. Obviously I didn't stop the carb overload there and ordered the waffles with fresh berries and chocolate mousse with a heaping side of thick cut bacon. Rich, indulgent and hit the spot especially on an overcast Monday. David went the savory route with Eggs Benedict, a salad and a side of their herb crusted fries (which are super addicting). If you're looking for a brunch or dinner spot in the West Village check out Dominique's Bistro between Gay and Christopher, you will leave full and happy.
- Live Clean Launched A New Baby Line -
Since it's been a bit since my last pregnancy, I feel so behind when it comes to anything baby, so getting a heads up on the eco-friendly, all-natural body product line- from diaper cream to body lotion -makes stepping into newborn and babyhood a little bit easier. I brought some of the products home and hope to share deets soon. You can grab the line at Whole Foods, Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Bed Bath and Beyond - also, it's super budget friendly.
- A Beauty Haul at Alison Brod -
Next, I headed over to the Alison Brod offices for a blowout courtesy of Garnier's new Moisture Lock shampoo and conditioner (which by the way are both amazing). I have it at home and my winter-induced dry hair loves it. Oh, and it's paraben free! Naturally, I couldn't leave the office without doing a little shopping in their beauty closet and brought home some seriously awesome goodies that I plan on testing and sharing soon.
- Breakfast and Shoe Shopping with Matt Bernson -
Any morning spent in Tribeca is usually a good morning, so when the Matt Bernson team invited me to breakfast at Sarabeth's and a quick stop at the store for a pair of shoes, there was no way I was passing that up. Especially because those shoes! Croissants were had with a healthy side of salmon, eggs, and cream cheese before heading over and snagging the Kafka boot (also in taupe and black)- which you'll be seeing until it's too hot to wear boots any longer. Check them out, you'll be forever obsessed.
- January Popsugar Must Have Box -
- National Carrot Cake Day-
My all-time favorite cake has a holiday and as it would turn out it landed right before the weekend (February 3rd). So, I popped into my favorite bakery in Astoria: The New York Bakery for a slice of carrot-y, cream-cheese-frosted heaven. The holidays may be over, but that shouldn't keep you from grabbing a slice. It's practically a vegetable right?
- New Maybelline Lip Colors -
Maybelline just launched a TON of new colors and finishes in time for Valentine's Day. Baby Lips Color Balm Crayon comes in 8 shades and runs for $7, Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid now has 10 more statement-making shades (I'm all about Orange Obsession) for $8, and Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liners in 14 new colors for $8. Swatches coming soon!

How about these decor goals at the office. So, dreamy.

January's Must Have Box finally arrived and did not disappoint.
