It's officially bare shoulders season! Can I get a woohoo?!
As you're already fully aware, I love a good deal. I especially love when said good deal comes from Savers®. You saw my fashion week style post, here and halloween costume ideas, here so it was only appropriate to come back with some spring-ready stylings. I highly encourage you try and find a store nearby because Savers (or in some areas, Value Village™ or Unique Thrift®) does not disappoint. It's the ultimate treasure hunt.
I found so many great finds at my most recent trip to the West Hempstead Savers location. I snagged a few houseware items, including a set of gorgeous green wine glasses. Such a great place to find glassware. I swear every time I go I end up bringing home a new set and I'm not mad about it. I might not have the space but that's another story. Another day, another story.
As for the fashionable finds, I went with a white theme this time around and could not resist this layered ruffle top. Guys, it's Zara, new with tags for $6 (the OG tag said $40)! You could definitely say it was $6 well spent. I spotted so many designer finds for under $15 during this trip. I also scored a lace fringe dress, as seen in my stories and a white sheer beaded maxi that I plan on layering over jeans in the coming months. For now, let's talk about this ruffled beauty. I love the halter neck, but also love that the bodice is supportive enough to ditch the ties and go strapless. I'll tell you right now, like my suede camel Savers find from winter, you're going to be seeing a lot more of it. How cute would it be with overalls?
I kept it simple and went with high waisted wide leg jeans. Honestly, I wear these jeans with everything and I just HAD to wear them with this top. As for accessorizing goes, this bag is everything and I swear my mom had one that looked just like this in the 90's. I mean, that scalloped detail, it's fabulous. It also holds a ton, which I need. I piled my camera, wallet, phone and my bulky keys with room to spare. Hello, summer carryall...
Also, it was definitely under $10 - so another win for the books.
I finished off my Savers finds with knot espadrilles, my favorite sunglasses and a bold lip before heading to the street festival this past weekend. So comfortable.
Now, for some tips for shopping spring styles at Savers.
+ New With Tags is Always A Win.
+ If you're on the hunt for white be sure to scour for stains. Same goes with other solid hues and prints but it's sometimes hard to catch light stains until after you buy.
+ Right now quirky, unique accessories are spot on with trends. Keep an eye out for fun textures, shapes and styles. Why buy new at fast fashion retailers when you can find something better for way cheaper?
+ Don't hesitate on jeans and pants. They had so many amazing NWT's styles - take a moment to hit the fitting room. Who knows those jeans might be a gold mine.
+ Don't let the masses overwhelm you. Patience is key when on the hunt. I must have gone through 10 dresses before pulling the diamond out of the rough...
+ Check out the outerwear, it's never too early to buy for fall and winter...
Definitely check the Savers site for locations, to join the Super Savers Club™, and for shopping inspo.
