No, Halloween isn't cancelled - it just looks different.
And by different I mean, spent mostly at home.
I'll admit I really wasn't up to going all out this year decorating for Halloween. I wanted to keep it simple, budget-friendly and somewhat easy to clean up afterwards. But, also festive enough to get myself in the mood to celebrate one of my favorite holidays!
So I took a peek in my halloween decorations box to assess the situation. We had some old cobwebs from past halloween parties, a couple of skeletons, a string of lights that half worked (spooky?), a web table cloth and a couple of garlands. I figured I could make do with that and just a couple of additions - bats and pumpkins.
First up, a bat filled basket wall with hanging skeletons, Christmas lights, candles, pumpkins and a skull.
Then the dining room got a ghoulish makeover with cobwebs, bats, a spider web table cloth and some old candles and candle sticks from the closet.
