The mirrors in our house are having a moment
This one actually came first and gave me the kahunas to create the fringe mirror because I was SO proud with how beautiful it turned out.
Backstory: this Ikea Grundtal mirror had been moving room to room for the last year and getting shoved into hiding places so it wouldn't be seen. Sure, it wasn't an ugly mirror per se - it was silver, round, and a good size but it just wasn't my style anymore. I'd been searching high and low for how to make it over and I kept seeing the same leather strap hacks that just weren't for me. I wanted something that fit my aesthetic and was a smidge outside of the box. I happened upon Gold A La Mode's arched bathroom mirrors DIY and the light bulb finally went off. I knew this was exactly what mirror needed.
So, I ordered some wooden balls, a hot glue gun and spray paint and the rest is history.
Also, I can't get over how closely it resembles a $1300 copper mirror - but only cost me a mere $30.
So yeah, definitely pretty proud of this one.
AND it was really, really easy. The hardest part was attaching the plastic sheeting to the mirror so I could spray it. So, if you have a mirror laying around maybe give this DIY a try.
It would definitely be pretty in an array of colors.
